Really loved the blend of roguelike and extraction mechanics. Seems like a really genius way to have a meaningful form of metaprogression, while keeping the high stakes of a roguelike. The also really enjoyed getting the hang of the physics-based movement. Felt really expressive and deep once I began to master it.
Finished it for the first time :-) Playing a lot more careful really pays off. Also wishlisted! Do you appreciate bug reports? Ideally on Discord for instance?
Got one for you: When you move around Synergy gems sometimes the yellow highlighting becomes broken, I think when the affected spots are outside of the 3x3 area. When you move them on a spot where they all fit it is fixed again.
Also, when I started the Hellish level I couldn't fire. Instant panic attack as you can imagine ;-) Opening and closing the map fixed it, luckily.
Cool game and concept, the movement felt clunky at the beginning but when I got used to it, I had fun with it. My only problem is that the view distance is barely enough to see incoming walls, especially when accelerating, so it's not easy to speed around without crashing into walls.
What I'd like to see is a better tutorial, as pretty much nothing is explained. Inventory system is not explained, there's no comparison between equipped and hovered items, and the UI isn't explained either, I spent an entire level without realizing there was an ammo count. It was obvious after I saw it, but a tutorial would have been much better. I didn't understand why I couldn't pick up stuff 'cause when the first level ends, items are added to a large inventory automatically, but in game, they go into the backpack. Still obvious, but not before taking the extra time to manually check those details.
Also, the game should be paused during the tutorial screens, as I had to skip them to not die to the enemy at the spawn, which then led me into wandering around thinking that I had to pick up an item for the portal, 'cause I didn't realize that I had to stand for a while before it activated and I didn't have the time to read anything.
Regardless, I had a ton of fun and I hope my feedback helps you! Best of luck, looking forward to seeing it on Steam :D
NOOOOO what the f*ck?? I'm missing pretty much all of my stuff except the one in the Safe Container and my Stash!!! Is that because I started a level last time and then had to stop the game?? I had such a good weapon :-(
Ahhh yeah... We will try and put a more clear warning for that in the full game. It's tricky because we also don't want people to be able to quit mid run to save scum and cheat death.
Yeah, I understand the logic, I was just cranky and frustrated yesterday :-) Also died two times after that, losing a lot of good stuff as well. Did get me fed up with the game (for that evening), but that's where the 'unforgiving' part kicks in. I just should've just been smarter and also maintain a good loadout in my stash instead of selling everything :-)
Still like it! Played a few times and it gets better and better. It's interesting. It feels a bit like an early-stage game, don't know exactly why, but it does have me hooked. I think the progression and cave generation does it. And of course, the out-of-standard movement and concept.
One gripe I have (with multiple games btw): I play on 3440x1440 and many games don't take that into account when going fullscreen, the top and bottom fall off.
Thanks! Yes it's definitely still a bit early, the full version on steam should be more polished and have more content. Extra content should also hopefully make the map generation more interesting. Well also try and remember the wide screen support for that!
What a cool game! I sucked at it, so I died a lot on the first stage Lol, not the type of game I play on the daily basis so that didn't help but overall, pretty good. Made a video on it.
great game! very fun gameplay loop, i didnt immediately understand the goal of the game, i think a more in depth tutorial would be beneficial or posting some instructions in the description but great concept overall!
If you're on a laptop by the way the performance can sometimes be bad in the web player, due to the computer using the wrong GPU. Downloading the game should help with that.
I see the healthbar and the inventory pop-in, but the rest of the display is flat black. In the console I see these error messages repeat: "RenderingCommandBuffer: shader Hidden/PostProcessing/Lut2DBaker: invalid pass index 2 in DrawMesh" and "warning: 2 FS.syncfs operations in flight at once, probably just doing extra work"
Hmmm that's unfortunate. Was this in the Web Build? I'd recommend trying the download build if so. Web builds can have some strange issues we don't have a ton of control over.
Thanks for reporting that though I'll look into it!

Glad you were able to finish it!
Yeah those are good catches. There's something wrong with reloading and extra clip size that causes that unable to fire bug right now.

Yeah that feedback is definitely helpful, We'll be cleaning up a lot of that stuff in the coming months! Thanks for playing!

Even lost my backpack ...

really cool and fun game, i loved it.
Great to hear! Thanks so much for playing and commenting it means a lot to us!

Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for checking it out and making a video. I think you actually did pretty well, most people find it pretty difficult.
Also thanks for finding that bug! We will fix that in the next patch. It has to do with having the map open when you exit the level.

Thanks! Really happy to hear you liked it! Good point! I've update the description to explain a bit more of the controls and the goal of the game.
Just made a video on this game! It's surprisingly addicting lol. Definitely looking forward to more updates/content for this beauty 👏
That was fast-paced! Great looks, and it was fun trying to navigate the twisty passageways. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for playing and posting the video!
